Draft Lottery

Has there been a draft with less overall talent in recent memory? If I was a fan of a team picking #4-#13, I'd be [censored]ed. Outside of Griffin and probably Rubio, this draft is very blah...

Here's where I'll disagree -- though the very top-tier talent is not there (Griffin, good as he is, pales in comparison to most other overall #1 picks in memory), I think the entire first round is filled with low-risk talent that will provide many years of capable NBA role play. Tyler Hansbrough and DeJuan Blair are perfect examples of guys that are unlikely ever to be all-stars, but will be starters for years.

Not so sure. Hansbrough (unless he dramatically adds some range) will not be an effective pro. Blair looks like journeyman.com.

anyone think this was pure lottery luck? Cleveland and Chicago won the FIRST PICK and got Rose and KIng James which, both were local kids.

With Oklahoma's Blake Griffin being the consensus #1 pick, your conspiracy theory would lead to Oklahoma City winning the lottery. It didn't happen.

I'm a fan of James Harden and Tyreke Evans. Brandon Jennings was a stand out in the McDonald's All-American game a few years back, but since I don't live in Europe I haven't had the chance to see him play since.

Brandon Jennings was a stand out in the McDonald's All-American game a few years back, but since I don't live in Europe I haven't had the chance to see him play since.

He hasn't been doing much over there. Averaging somewhere between 6 to 8 points a game depending on which league he was in. But it is a different game over there and he most definitely has play making abilities.
