Just a schlub from Y-town
Big loss for Buckeye fans. Solid presence with the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and looked forward to hearing his takes on the Buckeye Talk podcast. Not sure what he is doing next, but best of luck to him.

THE Podcast is the baby of Birm, Austin Ward and Landis. It is its own entity separate from Rivals. He's joining something called THE Podcast with Landis. Eventually working with Rivals.
They described the goal as becoming the Paul Finebaum of northern football, with Ohio State being the focal point from which everything else revolves.THE Podcast is the baby of Birm, Austin Ward and Landis. It is its own entity separate from Rivals.
Word on the street is that Doug is eventually going to be doing his own thing, not sure yet if that's a website, podcast, blog, etc, but he will be a guest of THE Podcast
It’s a solid and entertaining podcast on YT. Birm generally gets recently committed recruits on a show usually within a day or two after the announcement. They have player interviews and multiple videos daily because of their access. Every Monday in the fall they do a full hour with Bobby Carpenter, Justin Zwick, Cardale Jones, and Travis Powell breaking down the game and players. He's joining something called THE Podcast with Landis. Agreed. He’s an interesting character. Not unenjoyable at all. Candidly, I kind of like him and Landis better than Landis with the other TPD crew. It’s a solid and entertaining podcast on YT. His poll votes early in the season were often noteworthy. He’d vote teams that had a couple of solid performances very high, above teams that were expected to be very good but didn’t blow anybody out early. His votes seemed to be based solely on season-to-date performances, which is certainly a defendable position, but a lot of folks objected to his rankings.I live in NE Ohio and I've never heard of him. I guess I won't miss him.
