Do you need to wear pants when working from home?

Pretending I'm a pleasant person is exhausting.

So. You get to work inside your home during the pandemic. Should you wear the same attire at home as you do to work to maintain your professionalism?

Do you need to wear pants? How about going naked?

I've actually found myself dressing nicely just to keep from sliding into the George Costanza sweatpants zone. Not necessarily a tie and jacket but I could walk into the bar at The Four Seasons (God, I wish I could!) wearing what I've got on right now--nice dark jeans/black cashmere Thunderball polo/Omega.

I’ve been working from home for the better part of 10-years. While it could be the industry that I’m in, but even before the virus it was common attire for a ball cap and a t-shirt. If a client you don’t know well is on video, a polo would suffice... ball cap optional. Most of the year I’m wearing lacrosse shorts.

Tech, analytics and consulting is a pretty casual line of work I guess.
