on a weekend it loses some potency, although, this morning when my boss called me and explained what he needed. I didn't think about April fools, I think the exact words were. " are you shitting me?'.

I enjoy the day. I usually target one person who tends to take themselves (or their work) too seriously for a prank. For example, a few years ago one of my colleagues (the stat person amongst us) was getting a little full of himself. Well on April Fools Day he found an urgent message posted on his office door. The Cleveland Zoo was in need of someone to do a stat study on why some animals had been falling ill and some even dying. Sure enough, my buddy immediately picks up the phone (that is what a stat guru with super powers does ya know), dials the number left for the Cleveland Zoo and proceeds to identify himself, the huge importance of his call, and the immediacy that he speak to Mr. Don Key. The lady told him that they had Mr. Don Key who worked there and that he was the target of an April Fools joke. Once my buddy thought about it, and realized he called the zoo acting so self-important and asking to speak to Mr. Donkey, well let's say it brought him down a couple of pegs.

Those are my targets every year and this year was no different. Even though the prank I pulled was on a Friday, let's just say a certain dean was brought down a couple of pegs .
