Do you have Migraines?

I get migraines once a month or so and it's been that way since high school. At first it was probably due to a concussion but now I personally think it's more due to allergies or something like that kicking them off.

I start seeing halos around lights or every once in a while I'll feel weak throughout my body (usually my right side but sometimes the left side does it too).

My solution (usually) is to take a Benadryl and get 2 or more hours of sleep. Every once in a while I'll need to resort to the Imitrex spray but I haven't had one that severe in a while.

Could be weather related. Make a calender and mark your headaches and the weather if it's raining or going to rain up to 2-3 days out.

Look at food allergies. Wheat products. Sugar. Milk.
Also look at how many sugar drinks you consume.

Whoa. I saw my neurologist today. She decided against upping the blood pressure med I take but she put me on oxygen therapy. I thought this meant a portable, mini tank, sort of system. Something I could trundle around the house, tuck in a corner, hide in a cabinet.

Oh hell no. I have a HUGE FRICKING 5 FOOT TANK of pure oxygen sitting in my bedroom like some kind of doomsday device with 60 feet of plastic tubing attached to it so I can wander my house with it if I so choose. I had to put a "no smoking in or near this building" sign on my window. I sleep next to a potential BOMB. I am afeared.

I've suffered from Migranes since I was little. I usually get them because of my allergies. My solution is to take 2 ibuprofen, a benadryl, and a nice nap seems to be the cure for me

My sister has suffered with headaches and migraines her entire life. When she gets a migraine (they come in cycles) she throws up, her vision is impaired, she can't handle light, sound or movement. When she lived at home she'd put a special note or sign on the door so we would know to not bother her and either leave the house or stay away from her side of the house. I think she took Maxalt.

I haven't had one for years. The last one that I had was at Ozzfest in '05 and it was brutal. The two most essential needs when I have a migraine are (1) silence and (2) complete darkness. Well, at Ozzfest that year the sun was screaming at my eyes all day and I had Zakk Wylde, Killswitch Engage, Iron Maiden, etc screaming into my ears all day. I drank 6 bottles of water and sweat it all out - I didn't piss one time. I drove a carload of people there so I couldn't leave. They were drinking beer in the sun the whole time and said I was still the most fucked up person at the show. On the way home I wanted to wear sunglasses because the headlights bouncing off of my rearview felt like they were eating my eyes away. I managed to stop in at Chipotle and order a nice huge burrito. When I got home I couldn't eat it because I was nauseous from the headache. Let me repeat: I couldn't eat my Chipotle burrito! I have never been back to an Ozzfest.
