Why does this sound like a really bad idea in a lot of ways?

I mean... no problem with the black princess...

No problem with throwing a little bone at Nawlins after all that town has been through of late...

But... why all at once... I mean... this is the kind of all-in-one-marketing group-think that leads to ideas like, "Hey, it would be perfect if we could get Aaron Neville to cover Brown Sugar as the title song..." and not see that there are at least 462 problems with that.

Who ever said race does not matter? In my opinion it certainly matters or else this would not be the first time a black or any other minority was a princess. I think the hope is that one day race won't matter but we aren't there yet.

True but the story also wasn't told in america...it was obviously set in the middle east. As far as the little Mermaid....well you got me there.
