Disney introduces its first black princess

My youngest daughter's room is decorated in a "Disney Princess" theme.

Although not a princess, Mulan and Kim Possible are her favorite Disney movie chicks. They fight. That appeals to my 4 year old for some god awful reason.

But she loves Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Snow White and Jasmine.

ditto... my daughter was a princess for halloween too.... crown, shoes, wand... everything.

Same here. Blue dress, tiara, wand and wings...

I guess she was a fairy princess or some shit.

My oldest was a vampire witch. Thank God she's out of the princess stage. Her room is Jesse McCartney, Hillary Duff and the OSU Softball team.

So the new princess' name is Maddy? Nice African-American name.

I guess Serena Williams, Queen Latifah and Shanniqua Shananay were already taken..

Maddy? As in Madison? Sounds like a bunch of white girls I know born between 1980-1995. Naming kids after ex-presidents (or pornstars) seems to be a popular thing among Caucasians.

Getting way off topic here, but I read "Freakonomics" recently, and it attributed the Madison boom to the movie "Splash".
