At the end his thoughts were "he still can't see Ohio State as a number #1
team in his mind!
He also said this last week after the Texas win!
His choice for #1 also he mentioned this last week,would be:
1.USC
2.Auburn
3.Ohio State
I can't stand him,but then opinions are like @$$holes,everybody has one! Sorry I'm just a little irritated after seeing him mention his favorite team 2 weeks in a row that he thinks should be #1!:smash: :mad1:

USC is somewhat like ND right now...people, and especially the media, think they are better than they are, and have done more than they have done. There are still plenty in the "greatest stretch in college football history" camp, with the 3 Heismans and all the victories, despite the fact, of course, that they have only one MNC to show for it. To many USC will be #1 forever until they lose to someone in the regular season again...that's just the way it is.

It really doesn't matter all that much in the long run...hell almost every single ESPN guy said we wouldn't even beat Iowa or win the Big Ten. There are teams the media wants to believe are good, and ones they don't. It is annoying, but that's just how it is.

It doesn't bother me. Hell, we could be ranked #5 and I wouldn't care. I only care about where we're ranked at the end of the season. The season will play out, the undefeateds will be defeated, and at the end we'll know who's top dog. Hopefully, tOSU is standing tall.

I think there's a reason he's on ESPNU. Same with that Mike Hall guy. ESPN sends their crappy analysts to the smaller branches(ESPNU, ESPN Classic, ESPN News).

most sports "journalists" think that a #1 team is supposed to go out there and hang 60 on lesser foes like NIU and UC...fact is Tressel simply will not do that. And I am firmly convinced we could have done it to NIU, and probably rang up 40 on Texas if he wanted too. I can tell you this, if you had told me 3 weeks ago that we would have allowed 26 points to this point, I would have asked "against who?". These guys are gonna be scary good when scUM comes rolling in to town.

yeah, as i said in a previous post....Scouts.inc is not respectable...and thats the most important thing for a recriuting service...respect...and it seems they dont care....they have a long way to go with that scouts.inc garbage.

What ya guys need to understand is that USC is awesome. According to Mark May, John David Booty should be a Heisman candidate after 2 games. Remember, every QB they have is a Heisman candidate and everyone that leaves to the NFL, his back-up is that much better. The Pac-10 is the toughest conference if college football and Pete Carroll is a coaching GOD!!
