I think what the pats are doing is rare and will become even more rare in the next few years. The players there have bought into a sstem and it seems to be working very well right now. But it will catch up to them eventually
as in next year when they dont have romeo or charlie?

all you NE fans take notice. your run is over. BoSox, good job. thanks for taking out the yankees. but we all know you arent going to do it again. Pats, your coaches are leaving you. Sorry, but this was "one last gasp". BC, you wont be undefeated after 2/19/05 . pretty soon all you NE fans can go back to being whiney and cranky.

Yes, I missed the Super Bowl...the first time since Super Bowl XXVII when I was about 6 years old.

The primary reason is that I was over at my fiancee's family and they don't watch sports. I was over there meeting with her dad (who as a rabbi will be officiating the ceremony) to discuss how both the Jewish and Christian traditions would be incorporated into the ceremony). I was also over there using his computer to create the wedding programs since the hard drive on my home computer crashed the other week and I won't have it back until this Friday.

The other reason, but much lesser one, is that this year's game did not interest me. I respect the Patriots, but have grown tired of them and I did not expect the Eagles to have a chance...in fact, I was surprised by how close the score was. Believe me, if the teams were different, I would have made it a point to do the "wedding stuff" at another time.

Thank you for finally responding. I thought you already had your computer back from being repaired?

Since you met with your future father-in-law, does that mean the rehearsal can now be bumped back to 6:00 pm?

Typically conversations, at least the ones in which I care to participate, revolve around the news. My father-in-law spends about 80% of his TV time on Fox News, CNN, or the local news. The other twenty percent is divided equally between Law and Order, CSI, and the History Channel.

Unfortunately, he doesn't watch a lot of TV, so most of the time some dumb movie or reality television show is on the tube. This is why I never go over there anymore unless I have been invited to dinner or there is some task to complete.

No, my wedding is this Saturday.

However, that is not funny. My idiotic sister is getting married on November 19th. She did this even though she knew this was the OSU-scUM game. After I yelled at her for about an hour and my other sister did as well, she still didn't change her mind.

I keep telling her that I won't be at her wedding because of the dumba$$ decision on her part. She just laughs because she thinks I'm joking.
