i personally hope he burns in raging hellfire.


he is a homer in every game and even takes the homerism to the next level by homering teams that are not even part of the game. he RARELY and i mean VERY RARELY ever does his job which is commentate the game. all he does is yell incoherency and talk about topics that have nothing to do with the game at hand. how often do you ever hear any play by play from vitale? his energy to the game is worthless to me because i get enough from watching the game and when there is a big play most any other announcer shows the emotion to indicate the big play that was at hand. all vitale does is yell nonstop and say the same crap over again....nobody cares that some no-namer from southeastern missouri tech state community college is your diaper dandy. he rides odens jock like no other and im so sick of hearing him carry on the durant antic on and on and on and on. its like im replaying the same broadcast hundreds of times with him. on the plus side im sure the the real commentators love having him as long as he is farther than 20 feet away because whatever off topic issue they barely hint upon he will take it and drag it on for the rest of the game. the guy is a straight up joke.

he is a homer towards the same teams/coaches ever since he started on TV but, the onething I always loved about him, was the way he always brought up the next superstars in high school and that was amazing and free recruiting news. No one ever did that and some try in on the football side but, its just not the same.

I remember when I was at OSU I would go watch those AUU games and bunch of the bigtime coaches /Vitale were there. To me it was funny but, also, very sad because, I never saw randy ayers once there. He just sucked as a recruiting/head coach

I don't share the same dislike for Vitale most of you have. Yes his voice is annoying and his patented sayings are getting old, but he has every right to favor the ACC over the Big Ten every year. They kick our butts in our tournament every time!

While it would still annoy me, I wouldn't mind it so much if it was at least in a Big Ten/ACC game. How old would it get for other conferences in football if someone like Spielman or Herbstreit just constantly talked about how great OSU is while announcing a completely unrelated game?

His partner suddenly said that hey the bucks have outscored Ind and are back in it. We won that game. Dickie still wouldn't shut up even as we won.
I got so tired of hearing about neitzel, Izzo' 4 champinships and MSU in the second half.
So Dickie may love BB but they can find someone who loves BB and is impartial as far as I am concerned.

Neitzel outscored the Buckeyes in the second half. I was tired of hearing about him but, what did we do to stop Neitzels name from being called? Not much.

He was responsible for Jim Jackson coming to tOSU, and during JJs time here they were not a shabby team.
