This DL class has the makings of being AMAZING.

DL-the biggest need but
DB'S-thats has me thinking whats going on with the DB's. We have a bunch of young players and already have 3 to 6 that will be playing there.
I just hope some grade issues are not the problems again.

IF SOMEONE CAN EXPLAIN The DB NEED WHEN , THE NUMBERS ARE NOT THE ANSWER . I'M lost on this.

You can never have too many good db's.

Its not just that but the fact that atleast half if not almost all of the guys could play any speed postion that is why we will take a lot of speed guys each and every year.

ya, good points . Just a ? and because, with only 2 seniors moving on.
I keep thinking about what OSU can have left to offer or get in ohio next year since its so loaded.

Don't forget that a few of these DB guys can play multiple positions.

Well, considering the semi-revolving door at the safety position, the staff is still looking to upgrade. Jamo has not been making a lot a big plays yet-the staff is still looking for an upgrade. Clifford is a must take talent regardless. At CB-you can never have enough competition at that spot-speed and toughness kill. I also think that Tressel prefers to have a bunch of athletes that can play multiple positions as opposed to guys that are only one specific position-RB, OL, QB.

Is it safe to assume that Martin, Thomas, Still, Brent and Barksdale is a real possability? In a year where DL is the most needed position... that would be enough to equal the aforementioned AMAZING.

I will have to just give major props to the OSU staff here. They entered the race somewhat late and that put them at a disadvantage with Still. Since then they have recruited him hard and have just out-worked Miami and scUM. They have played their cards perfectly with Devon.

Simply put, yes. Barksdale being the longest shot of the group. (Though I still feel he ends up here too)

Who wouldnt want to play for this DEF? Always on TV, play in a smash-mouth conference, always playing for a BCS birth, get to play for Tressell-ball and one of the best staffs for player development. What more can you ask for?
