There are a ton of kids that ran track and played football at Ohio State, and did so at Florida under Meyer too.

In 2009 half of Ohio State's 4x1 team were football players (Chimdi Chekwa and Lamaar Thomas) and I believe they won the Big Ten that year or at least came close.

I believe that Robiske ran on the 4x1 the year before, Hartline ran the hurdles one season, Michael Jenkins ran, and Devin Smith is on the team currently. Robert Smith, Chris Sanders, and Drew Carter were also all on the track team and are among OSU's best ever in the sport.

I guess it would be nice if we hired or named a track coach since Gary has departed. Might be helpful when recruiting these types of kids.

It will be interesting to hear more about Devon as he finishes with track and begins taking visits this summer. Could be one to watch closely.
