Devin Gardner (official thread)

Wow, pretty impressive film for a sophomore. He looks like a poor-man's Vince Young, although he isn't quite as dynamic of a runner. He has all the tools though: great size, athletic ability and arm strength. Hopefully he gets to some camps like UF suggested...it would do wonders for him.

Can't wait to see how he progresses this year...

By Bill Kurelic...Gardner reinforces that Ohio State is his top choice. Likes the idea of playing with Terelle Pryor. Other schools of interest include Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, and Bowling Green.

We have our next QB....

Excellent stuff!

Let's not jump to any conclusions. I'm still holding out hope for Dwight Macon. But it is a good problem to have. I hope both of them get offers.

We'll have room for 2 good QB's in '10, assuming we take nobody this year imo. Macon, Roback, and Gardner are all possibilities that should get a serious look but as of right now, I like Gardner best.

Gardner and fellow '10 MI QB stud Robert Bolen (Orchard Lake St. Mary's) were at UM's camp this weekend...

Gardner a 2010 instate prospect will be one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation in the next years recruiting class and one of the top overall in the midwest. At 6-4 and about 200 lbs Gardner is a great passer on the run and has great mobility in the pocket. Does a good job of getting the ball downfield and to the sidelines as well. Last season at U of D Jesuit, Garnder passed for 1000 yards and rushed for 475. Gardner has transfered to Inkster high school were he will play his junior and senior seasons for Coach Carter. Gardner will be looking to add to his numbers from last season with his new teammate and current Wolverine Prospect Cameron Gordon (WR). I would not be surprised if the Wolverine coaching staff were to offer Gordon down the line and try and make this a packaged deal. Although Gardner has said he grew up a OSU fan 2010 is a long way from now a lot of things can happen.

Film also available at that website...
