Detroit Red Wings (Official Thread)

At least they get the Blue Jackets at home on Thursday....oh wait, they'll probably just escape with a lowly point like they have been all season. If only they could make it through OT & get to the shootouts. This team is absolutely horrendous on the man advantage & equally worse 4-on-4. No clue what is happening at the point on the PP, but they've given up so many breakaways you'd think they were playing at even strength all game long.

It's at that point for me that plays like this are really just the norm for him. He's been doing things like this for years & it never ceases to amaze me that he continues to do things nobody else in the world could do. One of a kind player. Just makes me shudder to think where this team would be without him this season.

Great would be an understatement. First multi-point game of the season & 14 points (9 Goals & 5 Assists) in his first 19 games. I kept waiting for him to score more than one point in a game, ambitious of me I know, considering he had 12 points in the first 18 & had only not scored in six of those games. Yet another example of the Wings scouting staff finding a diamond in the rough (undrafted).

Lose 3-2 at the very end of the game to the Blue Jackets, shutout Nashville 4-0 & destroy Vancouver 8-3 all within the span of four days. Doesn't get much stranger then that for this seasons Wings.

The CBJ always play Detroit tough, even if the scoreboard doesn't always show it.

Trashville isn't very good and Vancouver is a paper tiger again this year.

The West is WIDE open. If Holland can get another solid blueliner and a scoring forward to balance out the lines a bit more, the Wings will be right there even though they'll still have huge holes (Quincey) on defense.
