I went into the crucible once or twice. I had no idea what the hell was going on. I would spawn and it seemed like two seconds later I was dead. I said to hell with that. I enjoy the strikes and missions though. Public events are a blast as well.

I did the crucible once and had the exact same experience. Strikes, missions and the patrol/public events are all a lot of fun.

Feel free to add me. I'm abenaki7 on the PSN. I didn't do anything with anybody else until just recently and enjoyed it quite a bit so far. I'm like @CentralMOBuck where I just play an hour or two here and there, I'm not hardcore or anything.

The game is what it is, I like it a lot. There are some events that you need to put together a fire team to do, raids, nightfalls, weekly heroic missions. The vast majority of the content is either single player or they will put you into a team. There are also ways to find a team without knowing a bunch of people and scheduling a time for them all to be online. If anyone is interested I can run you through it. I'm a level 31 titan. I've been through the vault of glass and crota's end one time each with a group of guys I didn't know. My GT is Darth Buckeye71 on XB1 if anyone cares to add me.

I'm having fun so far. I think I'm a level 5, almost 6. I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to picking weapons or armor or anything....I just kind of grab what looks like it does the most damage. A couple questions I have just off the top of my head:

- Do the "rare items" or whatever the term is mean I should use them, even if I eventually get something that looks like it's better?
- Does it matter what I picked when creating my character? I have no idea which one I did....the one that shoots balls of electricity out as bombs. I don't know what each is for.
- I'm totally lost when I head back to the tower. I just kind of run around and then go back out to Earth.

I'm sure I have more, I just don't even know what I don't know at this point. I'm having fun just killing shit.

I think rare items are when you can start upgrading, so I looked at the damage/defense and what they could upgrade. A lot of times you they'll end up better once you upgrade than the stuff you have. Or it'll give you a benefit, like being able to carry more ammo for a certain weapon or it will reload faster, etc.

Not really, in my opinion. Just a matter of the different classes have different supers that you use.

If you can get bounties (I forget what level those unlock at), start getting those when you get to the tower. The bounty guy is straight back behind the steps that go down. There will be things like "Kill 100 enemies without dying" or "Complete 6 patrol missions on Earth". Those will give you experience and Vanguard rep so you can get the better equipment once you level up.

You picked the perfect class for your personality. You will enjoy the Fists of Havoc ability once it's unlocked.
