Derailed Doobies, Fords, and Cons

Good Lord - the Ford Dealership just called says that a fritzed fuel injector did so much engine damage that I need a new engine in my Expedition. No warranty. FML I have no idea if that could even be the case. :smash:

( I thought I'd post that here to make Sloop and Bay and Steve feel better about everything...)

Buckeye Nation would be pretty upset if you had a warranty and got it fixed for cheap.
Way to overgeneralize! I haven't seen any stats to back up that statement, and you are assuming that "years" means - like 365 days apiece! The three year warranty may still be valid. I have not seen the actual warranty, and we are all awaiting the Ford service staff's official warranty investigation results.

Looks like Ford has a Customer Satisfaction Program notice 07M08 for all of the 2005 5.4 3V F-150s, Super-Duty, Expedition, etc., because the fuel injectors stick open (or closed) causing damage to other powertrain components. It extends the warranty ELEVEN YEARS and they will pay for everything.

That is what they say happened to my 2006 Expedition. Now Ford says they will not honor the program notice for my 2006 early year 5.4 3V Expedition, even though it is the exact same problem, and I only have 66K mileage.

They may not wind up paying the 6K for it that way.....but they will wind up paying for it another way. :sneaky: It'll cost them far more than that to get my fricking suit dismissed.

Well, the rest of the country feels that it was only a matter of time before your Ford took a shit on you, despite Ford's self manufactured reputation for being reliable. It's not just me, Dodge lovers, Chevy lovers...hell...even Kia lovers felt all along that Fords are just pieces of shit. Not saying they actually are, and I, personally, didn't want to see your Ford break down, but just saying what everyone thought for the thirtieth time in this thread. I'll keep repeating it over and over, even tho I know you'll never see it my way. Now I'll ramble on, restating the same points I've tried to make in forty other posts in this thread, just using different terminology and phrases. I mean, even people that like Ford drivers in Nascar will state that their cars are junk.
