It will help complete the picture if/when we get a sense of how much money the kids actually make and how hard each school tried to keep them/let them go.

In a sense, we could be seeing a lot of guys fit the NFL/MLB career journeyman thing into a 5 year window.

I don’t know that it’s as simple as greedy dumb kid narrative in every case.

I don't blame the kids one bit or think they're "dumb" for school hopping. If it's allowed, do it. What's dumb is CFB jumping headlong into this model with no plan or regulation. It's the wild West and I don't know how anybody can take the sport seriously anymore when there are no rules.

NCAA was the biggest waste of a so called institution to help student athletes. They could’ve had this under control in the 80s, but they along with the collegiate institutions got greedy since they knew they didn’t have to “pay the talent”. You can create a heck of an industry when the employees aren’t paid

What we have today isn’t the result of a dumb plan. There is no plan. This is the vacuum left when the old power structure gets taken down overnight (basically) by external regulators (because it was so fucking corrupt)
