Denver Bronco Darrent Williams Dies in Shooting

This is a horrible tragedy, and the irony is that, according to news reports, they were partying w/ a bunch of Nuggets for Kenyon martin's birthday. I wonder if Carmelo "Stop Snitches" Anthony will change his tune as the hunt for the killers is on by the Denver PD.

FORT WORTH, Texas - As police in Denver made an arrest related to the case, slain Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was remembered by family and friends as a superb athlete and bright student who made it off the tough streets but never let it get to his head.
"He could come back here and just be D' Will," 25-year-old Monte Wayne said on Friday as he stood outside the house where Williams grew up in Fort Worth.

NFL rescinds fine against murdered Broncos star

The NFL informed Darrent Williams' agent that it will rescind a $15,000 fine given Williams during the Broncos' Nov. 19 home game against San Diego. Williams had words with official James Coleman in the fourth quarter, according to the DENVER POST.
After the game, Williams and Denver safety Nick Ferguson insisted that Coleman began the dispute. Williams, though, was fined. In late December, Williams had his appeal heard by the NFL. A decision was expected as soon as this week.
However, Williams' agent, Jeff Griffin, was informed Thursday by the NFL that the fine, which had already been subtracted from his pay check, will be returned. Griffin said he is pleased the money will be able to go to Williams' two children.
"It was a very classy move by the NFL," Griffin said. "Darrent's family will appreciate it."

"The report said Williams had a blood alcohol content of .051, which is under the legal limit, and had no drugs in his body. "

Gee, Mr. AP reporter, I didn't realize there was a legal limit to those who aren't driving or boating or operating heavy machinery. :roll1:
