Guess I fudged up on that one a bit.....oh well. Luckily, there isn't another team on the schedule close to Bama, so the season is not lost, for sure.

Nice attempt at rationalization there. How do you know? The fact is that we don't know how good Bama is based on last night because UM looked like complete garbage. Before you start taking solace in your schedule because you seem to know you can hang with everyone else, take another look at that game last night.

The fact is that Michigan looked completely out of their element last night. Bama may not make Western Kentucky look as bad as they made UM look. Is Alabama THAT much better than UM? Seriously? All off season for that?

And yes, I'm a little pissed that you make a statement like that and Ohio State is on your schedule.

Is it just me or does he always get "hurt" in games everyone knows they can't win?

Yes.

Yep. He plays it up big time. I laughed at the second time he went "down" last night when he failed to get the 1st down. He only comes up "hurt" when he fails at something. Kind of like when he said "hey Coach Rod, My finger hurts a little bit, mind if I take myself out while OSU drills us some more? Kthxbai!!!"

Making friends this morning I see...:shake:

I think the point is..you don't have to be as good as Bama to beat scUM. I'll even go as far as to say that D'nad will wish he was playing Bama by the time "The Game" comes around. Never should have tossed that grenade...

I'll turn right around and say there isn't anybody close to Bama's caliber on osu's schedule either. I'm not knocking osu, I'm talking about the elite level at which Bama plays.

everybody is chasing the SEC.......end of story.

Seriously? Who cares if a BAMA caliber team is on our schedule? You know who is on our schedule? scUM is!

And in that chasing of the SEC, only one team from the BIG has been in the running for the last decade. You can call Bama the greatest team on the planet for all I care..it doesn't diminish the fact that scUM and Theodore Donald Kerabatsos have something in common.

and that's exactly my point. You guys made it sound like I was taking a shot at osu with my statement about Bama being the best team we'll play the rest of the year. They would be the best team ANYBODY plays all year unless they had U$C on it, that's all I'm getting at.

Correction, you're rationalizing so you don't have to analyze the level at which Michigan plays.

Thomas Rawls and your second team offense ran all over your first team defense too. Your front seven is very soft against the run this year.

Last year, a good DL hid a largely average group of LBs & safeties (Jake Ryan being the exception). This year with Martin & RVB gone (and Clark's future in limbo), Jake Ryan is the only steady force in the front 7. He's only one man though and that was obvious yesterday (I thought he was one of the few that showed up).

Trying to have a serious conversation about football with WM is giving him way too much credit. There's that funny trend with sentences that start with phrases like "no disrespect" or "I'm not knocking OSU" and so on, after all.
