BULLDOGS ON RADAR
McKinley High School football coach Ron Johnson has been busy entertaining college football coaches with interest in his players. According to Johnson, the players getting the most attention are linebacker Jewone Snow, running back Bryce Wilder and defensive lineman Steve Miller.
?Michigan is looking at all three of those players,? Johnson said. ?They haven?t offered Jewone yet, but I believe they?re getting close. Stevie is a formality on Sept. 1.?
Miller is one of the top sophomore recruits in the country. As an underclassman, he can?t be offered until September.
Who all will offer him?
?At least 119 schools,? Johnson said, kidding. ?Everybody that I?ve talked to has verbaled to me saying, ?Hey, we?re going to go on that kid.? He has it together academically and socially, and he plays football pretty good, too.?
Miller will be a junior for the Bulldogs in the fall. He was listed at 6-foot-4, 201 pounds last fall.
TWO WAYS FOR MILLER
Look for Miller to play some offense in the fall. Johnson said the coaching staff is working on packages that will put Miller at tight end.
?He has good hands,? Johnson said. ?He caught it in the post in basketball. He?s a good athlete. Once he starts repping it enough and practices with it, he?ll be proficient."
