Noah Spence, Come On Down!!
:osu:
Bishop McDevitt (Pa.) defensive tackle Noah Spence will take his first -- and possibly last -- visit to Ohio State this weekend. The pass-rushing force will play for the Pennsylvania Class 3A title on Friday, a game that Meyer and assistant Luke Fickell are expected to attend. Spence plans to reveal his decision at the Under Armour All-America game on Jan. 5, and is also considering Florida, LSU, Maryland, Notre Dame and Penn State.
1. Noah Spence- Defensive End, Bishop McDevitt High School
Noah Spence is a highly talented defensive line man who can both stop the run and rush the passer. He is listed at 6' 4" and 245 pounds and will be graduating in 2012 from Bishop McDevitt High School from Harrisburg, PA. He was selected to the Class AAA 1st team defense as a junior and has progressed through his senior year. As a junior he had over 100 tackles and compiled 22 sacks. He has received offers from many top schools including USC, Florida, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Alabama.

Top-rated defensive prospect set for visit

On the line: Noah Spence, rated by Rivals.com as the top defensive end prospect in the nation, could be leaning toward the Buckeyes.
Without the benefit of Skype, Greg Spence?s smile still came through loud and clear on the cell phone the other day as he spoke about the scheduled official visit by his son ? blue chip defensive end prospect Noah Spence -- to Ohio State this weekend.
?This is going to be his first official visit, and if my son feels it in his heart and his gut the way he?s been feeling, this could be his last,? Greg Spence said.
Not that Noah Spence, from Harrisburg (McDevitt), Pa., necessarily will make a proclamation of his college intentions upon departure. One of the more sought-after players in the country, he has promised to hold off declaring his choice until the Under Armour All-American all-star game on Jan.5, his father said.
But the hint was stout, that Noah Spence, ranked No.1 among defensive end prospects nationally by rivals.com, is a heavy lean toward OSU and its new head coach Urban Meyer with a strong assist from the primary recruiter on the case and assistant coach Mike Vrabel.
?So yes, it?s pretty big weekend, and we look forward to it,? Greg Spence said.
