DE/LB Nathan Williams (official thread)

Rivals.com$

Williams is having strong season......Williams is playing middle linebacker for Trace but his position in college is up for debate at this point. Williams knows that playing time next year will be hard to come by with most of the Ohio State defense returning but he is looking forward to competing.

Nathan Williams: Miami Trace continued their hot play behind the power running and impressive defense of their star. Williams scored all three touchdowns for Trace, and also made double digit tackles as they won again 21-6. This gives Trace a chance to win the league next weekend against Washington Court House.

Nathan Williams: Anytime that Miami Trace and Washington Court House get together it is a battle. On Friday it was Williams and Miami Trace that came away with a wild 42-40 win. In the game Williams had 77 yards rushing, and was as usual a dominant force on the defensive side of the ball making things difficult to run the ball inside.

Just thought I would bump Williams thread up...I had almost forgot he was in this class and just giving him props on a great senior season. #6 WDE in the country on Rivals is not shaby at all...Williams, Mobley, and Goebel is one heck of a DL class, especially with the possibility of Wells or another surprise. Mobley's commitment got me thinking about this. Can't wait to see Nathan in the Scarlet and Gray! :osu:

MT's Williams to play in Big 33 game

Mark Huber
Brown News Service

Miami Trace senior Nathan Williams, who was featured on the cover of the inaugural Ohio Locker Room football preview magazine, is on the Ohio roster for the Big 33 Classic all-star football game June 14 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pa.

Williams, a 6-4, 245-pound defensive end/linebacker who has committed to play football next season for Ohio State, was coached at Miami Trace by Jeff Conroy.

"It's a big honor for Nathan and his family as well as the Miami Trace football program," Conroy said in a telephone interview Friday morning. "When you look at the roster of players and where they're going (to college) and we have a young man at that level, it's a big honor."

Conroy said Williams is running indoor track/field for the Panthers and will compete on the outdoor track/field team when that spring sport gets underway.

"Ohio State's going to be sending down their workout and what they want him to do," Conroy said. "He (Nathan) is definitely looking to the future with Ohio State, but he is still a part of our programs here at Miami Trace."

I think nathan williams is a physical freak and the least hyped of any of our 08 recruits. I think he will factor into our d-line rotation next fall. He has a college body right now. So everybody watch out because he's a future all league performer in the big ten!:oh::io:
