Awesome. I really see that as his best position...physically he is a J.J. Watt clone. He doesn't get outstanding leverage to play inside but could be a terror with his long arms, strength, and athleticism on the edge. Looking at our prospective lineup, I truly think Bosa is going to be in the rotation. Alot depends whether they keep Bennett at SDE or move him back inside, but I could still see him rotating in regularly, as our DL is going to be very young. Plus I think he brings in a different skill set with his ability that will make him more likely to contribute immediately.

Bosa=Washington

Everyone is comparing Bosa to JJWatt, which is high praise and likely too high. Watt has been destroying NFL lineman this year. In film and in the all-star game he seemed to be very similar to Adolphus Washington. Both are slim at 270ish for a tackle. Both are relatively tall 6'4" and 6'5 and they are both showing pretty good ability to get to the QB and great strength.

If the Bucks can find a nose tackle from somewhere then I predict that AW and Bosa rotate at the strongside end spot while Bennett slides to the 3. I would guess that Bosa only takes 25% of the reps from AW though.

Diesel played this year around 290. And could stay inside and occassionally move to sde. Bosa at this point is all sde at his current size. Watt is probably the best comparison at this point

Gotta understand the difference between a comparison and equating the compared player's talents. Nobody ever says on here "X player is just as good as Y player is now in the pros", simply that their playing style is similar. Diesel is more in the 6'3 range and Bosa more in the 6'6 range. For a comparison, Vrabel was listed at 6'4 in the pros and Joey has a solid 2 inches on him in that picture.

Diesel has some finesse but tended to bull rush with leverage from the inside this year and is pushing 300 now. Bosa uses his long arms to move the blocker, can just as easily fly off the edge, plays meaner than crap, and deflects a ton of passes...that playing style is identical to Watt. Now if you are comparing the impact you think Joey will have, I would agree that AW is a good comparison. If he makes that type of contribution I would be ecstatic.

Good points RB07. For me the comparisons are accurate with regard to frame, tenacity ,and style of play. If I were coach Vrabel I would give Bosa detailed film of JJ watts last two seasons, and help Joey to incorporate as much of those nuances into his game as he can over the next 4 years. I would do the same for Spence with Von Miller. The exciting thing is that if either of these guys are a fraction as good as Watt or Miller, they will be difference makers for the Buckeyes. And just a reminder, at this point in his career, JJ Watt was a TE recruit getting ready to play football for Central Michigan in believe. Bosa coming out of STA is surely a more developed player.
