Just sayin':

Smart play by Tyleik there. He ate up all the blockers and screened them off from JTT.

What frustrates me about JT is when I see those plays of elite & spectacular
I want them ALL the time... not in spurts like he does... ALL the time
Truer words have never been spoken!
He has every natural trait to be one of the OSU DL legends, but seems to only shows flashes of greatness for about a 3 drives every other game.

I was going to pop in to say the same thing. We really need him to make some of those plays in the first half of the game before there is a deficit or the game hangs in the balance. I have zero insight on how that can be fixed though, so hopefully the switch just comes on and stays on the rest of the year.

Stop lining him up so wide. He's missed multiple sacks by a step or two. Where he lines up adds a step or two to the distance to the QB.

And on run plays, if he doesn't push his guy back immediately or if he gets off the ball a step slow, lining up that wide leaves a hole in the B-gap that lets teams pick up 3-4 yards per rush.

What makes it even more impressive that he was usually lined up against Penn State's left tackle (i.e. # 74 Olumuyiwa Fashanu); who is projected as a 2024 1st round draft choice.

Per Google: Olu Fashanu is my preliminary OT1 of the 2024 NFL Draft class and a blue-chip prospect in the top-five overall. In fact, on my board, he would have been the OT1 of the 2023 NFL Draft class over Paris Johnson Jr., Anton Harrison, and Darnell Wright if he had declared.
