DE Jaylahn (JT) Tuimoloau (Owner, Giant Erector Set, All B1G)

that was unexpected. So let's speculate...... bc that's what we do best as fans.... Did he enjoy his OR trip that much or is it the combo of his past 2 visits to OSU and OR that he feels he needs to narrow things down to the 2 regional teams and his other 2 faves to rrach a decision? Either way, I like our chances better w/ Bama out of the equation, although it appears the Ducks are coming on strong.
Maybe it's obviously OSU in his mind and he didn't want to tip his hand by cancelling both Oregon and Bama right after the OSU visit.

They had just flown to Columbus and then home from Eugene. They (the family) may have decided that flying even farther than Columbus is a non-starter if it can't be a direct flight. Every place still on his list has direct flights from SeaTac.

Maybe they really did decide that things are equal enough that something like that was a deal-breaker.

If that's the case, I hope that the 5 hour flight to Columbus is worth the difference between the Buckeyes and everyone else.

A couple reasons for optimism imho.

1. Huffman hinted following the Oregon visit that he felt the Buckeyes still led.

2. Tuimoloau and his family went directly from Ohio State to Oregon. Logistically it would have been a pain to rework travel plans that were already in place. I could be dead wrong here, but I’m not of the belief that going to Oregon but not Alabama means all that much.

3. The Washington 247 insider feels pretty strongly JTT’s quotes read heavily in favor of the Buckeyes.

My first question would be does cancelling the Bama trip help him get enrolled on schedule at tOSU? I know original thinking was if he took trip to Bama, he’d only be able to enroll at OSU next semester. Does cancelling Bama trip perhaps get him enrolled this semester?

I’d ask the same question as an Oregon fan….I believe he could’ve taken the Bama trip and still enrolled at Oregon on time.

The second half of the summer semester started this past Tuesday. It might be hard to start any classes at least a week into half a summer semester. Those courses are very condensed.

I believe all those enrollment issues proved to be incorrect. Timing really wasn’t a factor.

Just me guessing, and I could be totally wrong here, but I look at is him knowing where he wants to go and not needing another trip to confirm it.

I saw a video on another board last night that most all the Ohio State coaches met JTT at the airport for his visit. They all dressed in Hawaiian shirts, had photographers there, and a police escort with him. They made it a big deal. I thought JTT was not one for attention, so it will be interesting to see if this helps his recruitment or has no influence. What will other recruits think later on when the coaches don't do this for them?

I am glad JTT has the last visit with Bama. Saban just needs to show him all the rings in his office and the facilities and that should be more than enough.... and let him meet Dr Rhea and Coach Ballou. Does anyone know what he wants to major in? Regardless of the major, I am glad Saban emphasizes academics too. RTR

Just sayin': Sometimes it doesn't work out too well when your school schedules the last visit.

Huge! I think they were obviously the main competitor and maybe they stay close to home but it's still a few hours to get to Oregon and with NIL the parent flying out wont be much of a hassle finance wise.

Would be shocked if it's not us now.
