One to watch closely. Cowan has been to Ohio State twice before (including The Game last year), he has a solid relationship with Larry Johnson, and a good official visit this weekend could lock him up.

Has been kind of an odd recruitment this far, but would be ecstatic to have him in this class. Major talent.

It’s coming on a year now. Still feel that way?(separate from the need for D Line guys in this class)
I guess needs always trump wants so maybe that isn’t a fair caveat.
Weird recruiting ranking. 247 has him much, much lower than the composite and they see him as a DT.

Yes please. Cowan is one of my favorite DL in this class and I think I've said it in here already... but, definitely a TAKE no matter what if he wants in. I will be amped if this goes down.

Yeah 247 is just swinging and missing on their assessment imo. That’s a guy you can move around pre snap and cause all kinds of issues. Rushmen nightmare. Too refined and light on his feet at this physical point/age imo.
Just imagine what LJ could do with this guy. The assembly line just keeps moving along.

Wiltfong discusses Cowan in today's Bucknuts Morning Five:
At the 2:42 mark: "This is one of the coolest kids in this class. Terrific personality. Very nice young man. Will be a nice representative of whichever school he chooses."
Questions on motor and consistency, somewhat of a tweener, which is why 247 rating is so low.
