I really try to give the department the benefit of the doubt. I do. But seriously, wtf? Why?

The announcement barely made a splash from what I have seen. The overall reaction has been ‘meh’. Why hold a press conference? Release the statement, give Day a canned response that he isn’t able to elaborate at his next presser and call it a day.
