It was mentioned in interviews at the end of the season that Styles and Reese got to decide themselves whether they blitzed or not in certain third down situations.

I think specifically, Patricia needs to adjust this dynamic in crucial down situations and make it not a player-based option whether they bring pressure or not - use your decades of experience and call an advantageous play on crucial downs in the most important games.

Empowering your players to make those adjustments pre and post snap, especially in an era that loves exit motions, is an incredibly important tool.

Making sure your 1st and 2nd level defenders communicate who has the RB is a big deal though. The prevalence of HB rail in 2025 as a staple concept that is both explosive and high percentage hurt this defense against Miami.
