I can absolutely buy the LJ sr angle as more info has come to light about it.

It’s a different issue that it was allowed to happen at all and then continue for a while but that isn’t 100% on Knowles.

He’s got Downs back next year so there is that. I don’t think he sucks like I did at first but I’m not buying into the hype fully either. Buckeye nation has an echo chamber of hype to rival, if not out do, its Lunatic Fringe.

There’s a very obviously inflection point, I think somewhere around the Nebraska game, where the defense looked decidedly different than the games before it. I think it was that point that Knowles got control of the defense to run his defense. Also not surprised rotation on the DL picked up in the first 2 playoff games.

I knew he was genius when we hired him. What I hoped but didn't know is that our guys could all figure it out and play fast. It definitely has taken growth and probably the best complete secondary we've ever had, but it's glorious in action!

Yes, he'd leave where he has total control of the defense to go be a DC for Venables who has final say on the defense....makes total sense.

Apparently, his girlfriend is from Piedmont, OK (suburb of OKC).

If it is a money issue, OSU can match and go above any money offerings from other programs out there.

Fiance or so they say. That's the only reason I can see to entertain it. He's from Philly and any money Oklahoma can throw at him we can match and more so. And job stability is better here then under a coach who could easily be fired next year.
