Notoriety also attracts rumors, particularly on the job market. Knowles' name this week is tied to the defensive coordinator position on Brent Venables' staff at Oklahoma. He didn't deny those rumors or potential interest when asked by CBS Sports.

I'm not sure that I'd leave tOSU with what he's being paid as DC and the system he now has in place to be the HC at OU. I certainly would to be their DC. Wtf? He's just now got things rolling and he's said since the beginning that it takes three years at each stop to get it where he wants it. Why in the world would he walk away from that to start again?
