DB Corey "Pittsburgh" Brown (DB Coach Slippery Rock Univ.)

UPDATE on Corey "Pittsburgh" Brown
By BCast on 16:10:19 10/23/10

Brown was in on defense late in the fourth quarter when he went down with an injury. He was helped off the field and they put him on a cart right in front of me.

He was unable to put pressure on his left leg and it looked like a knee injury. Tressel said the same during postgame interviews and said he doesn't think they will have Corey for a while.

Yet another casualty in the OSU secondary.

looked like an ACL or a patella tendon the way he went down and grabbed just under the knee like that. Either way, doesn't look good for a likely return this season. I guess you just hope for a speedy recovery and hope he's ready to contribute next year.

I hope Doran pulls the trigger. DB's look thin w/ all the injuries, we are losing quite a bit next year and the younger guys that have gotten some spot duty this year have not looked the best against some weak competition. Chance for a true frosh like Doran to see the field right away.

Good bounce back game. Didn't have much doubt after last year's game and coming off a loss @ wisky.

GO BUCKS!!!!

Hopefully he recovers fast.. I wonder if a move to offense is possible for Pittsburgh Brown? If we dont get Duron back, and can get Gorman and Grant, We might not need him on D. I remember his dominating at receiver in the All american game. And plus it would be real cool having two Corey Browns at receiver:). It kinda seems like people forgot about this Corey Brown.

Did Corey participate in More than 3 games before his injury? I assume he did, but if not, he might be able to apply for a medical red shirt down the road

4 games (30%, rounded up) would be allowed, but redshirt seasons also require no participation after the midpoint of the season, so that is probably ruled out on either measure.

Game participation reports show that Corey (#3) Brown played in at least these games: Marshall, Ohio, EMU, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Purdue.
