Me three...OSU has done well with recruits of former players and James Green fits into that category (his father is on staff at FSU)...and if you haven't figured it out by now, the OSU staff is not going to offer one kid for the sake of trying to get another. If they were open to doing that Cam Saddler would have had an offer last year.

I agree but the Saddler situation is very different IMO. Cam would never have been heavily considered for an offer without Shayne Hale and the package deal. Corey is a kid that even with out Bell would be at least a guy that we take a hard look at so if we decide not to offer him by himself but by January we have an extra spot and Bell is still vying for a package then I don't see why not offer Corey.

Corey minus Bell = possible offer
Saddler minus Hale= barely a look
all of above is JMHO

I think your statement is a little incorrect. In the age of the 85 scholarship limit you really think people were offering Saddler just to get to Hale? You think all the other schools that offered only offered because they wanted Hale, but OSU was the only one to say no? That is just not true...schools can't afford to waste a scholarship like that. You think if Saddler tried to verbal to Virginia and Hale chose Pitt that Virginia wouldn't have taken him? Saddler had an impressive offer list because he is an electrifying player...both recruiting services had him as a 4-star (likely what will Brown will be too) and he had offers from the likes of Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Michigan, Virginia, Michigan State, Louisville, Purdue, Wisconsin, Oregon, etc. The kid probably had 30 offers to choose from. Sometimes we think OSU is some sort of rarified territory where they are the only staff that can afford to say "We offering you but not your friend." Plenty of schools evaluated Saddler and decided he was worthy of an offer. OSU already had their RB for last year and even after that had kids they rated higher than Saddler. He obviously did not fit the mold of what they were looking for. Whether or not Brown will is yet to be determined, but like Saddler he will evaluated on his own merit...regardless of what his situation is with Dorian Bell.

Sorry for the tangent...felt the need to respond to that...

I have nothing against Cam. He is great player and I guess the "barely a look" was a little exagerated but from what I had read I got the feeling that OSU felt Cam was too short and we didn't need a guy like Cam in that class with having a good chance with a taller "electrifying" player in Flash.

I was just showing the difference in the situation as to Cam who it didn't seem we had much interest vs Brown who looks to have much more interest from OSU. Either way I hope we give Corey an offer as I feel he deserves one and that he later makes a decision that is right for him
