CINCINNATI - While the rest of his classmates at Trotwood-Madison High were making plans for their senior projects, the upcoming prom and graduation, Cam Burrows was lining up as a starting cornerback for the Scarlet Team in Ohio State?s annual spring football game at Paul Brown Stadium Saturday.

Burrows - who had been a five-star recruit on Coach Maurice ?Mo ? Douglass?s Rams team - picked the Buckeyes over Michigan, Alabama, LSU and Wisconsin last year, finished up his high school classwork this past December and enrolled at Ohio State in January.

That made him eligible for spring practice and Saturday?s intra-squad game, most of which he played.

?Coach kept asking me if I was nervous and I said ?No.? I was ready,? Burrows said afterward. ?Surprisingly, I didn?t feel any butterflies at all.?

He registered one tackle for the day and wasn?t noticeably beaten by any of the OSU receivers he faced.

?I didn?t expect to be a star today, but I think I met my expectations,? he said.

i think i had seen him in on special teams throughout the year, but since they lost CB2, and Roby for the game, the coaches had to dig a little deeper into the bench...thankfully we got the depth

In no way shapre or form should Reeves play ahead of Burrows. He needs to get his head arpound around, but look much better in man then Reeves.

I heard Spielman say how well he played and that this is Ohio State and they have great depth. Good sign for the future.

You heard that from someone on the ESPN payroll? You must have heard wrong! The correct statement is: This is Ohio State and Cam looked great, but he would have been burned by wide outs in the SEC.

But seriously, Mr Burrows looked really good and looks like he will have a great future in S&G. I see him starting next year.
