DAYTON DUNBAR VS LAWRENCE NORTH (OFFICIAL GAME THREAD)

Jay Williams: "I wish Matta was at Ohio State when I was being recruited. They didn't recruit me when I came out"

I hope some Obie supporters (are they still around?) heard that.

My best Dickhead Vitale impression during any Duke game while Jason "Jay" Williams was there:

"Jason William's parents met on the oval while they attended Ohio State baby! Jimmy O'Brien's gotta be regretting not getting Jason Williams baby! He's a PTPer, he's awesome baby! The Buckeyes gotta be hurting from missing out on getting Jason Williams..." and so on and so forth.

Brent Darby almost shut his mouth when he nearly singlehandedly beat Duke that one year.

In limited minutes Cook showed why he is considered one of the best midrange shooter in high school. Great touch inside the arc. He even used the glass like it's supposed to be! :yow:

Oden's dominating. Not much else to say.

I did a story for the Lantern on Sullinger and Stockman when they transferred to Ohio State, and for it, I phone-interviewed Jim O'Brien. The question had to be asked since it was a story about recruiting:

"How do you respond to the critics who say you are not aggressive enough with recruiting?"

He went off. He's said "that's a load of bullshit. We go after the players we think we can get!!"

When he said that, I took it to mean that he thought he couldn't get high profile players to come to Ohio State. Thad Matta has proven him wrong, and proven that (sorry Obie) Coach O'brien deserved every bit of that criticism.
