Someone should get the word out to Coach Dickerson that the Cleveland State and Akron jobs are currently taking applications @NJ-Buckeye is a big donor for Akron so maybe he can put out the word up there.

Somewhat strange because in the Matta thread it said that is wife was not in good health. It was a premium article which I could not access but you would think if a guy's wife was not in very good health he would have not taken a head-coaching position unless that school does not care much about their basketball program.

I'd imagine he gets some decent insurance with the job, highly doubt he recruits too far out his immediate region there.

Probably true. But things seemed to be sweetness and light between the two for a good long time until quite recently. I wonder what changed.

Matta lost his job and Holtmann did not retain DD and so DD did not have to worry about what Matta thought of him. Shame on Dickerson

Dave Dickerson is returning to Ohio State.

The current head coach at USC Upstate, who was previously an assistant coach for Ohio State from 2010-17, is returning to the Buckeyes as Jake Diebler’s first new staff hire.



“Dave Dickerson is a respected, veteran coach and I am excited that he is rejoining the Ohio State family,” Diebler said in a statement. “He was not only a part of some of the most successful teams in Ohio State history, but he also brings head coaching experience that will be invaluable as we continue to take the next step as a program.”
