I doubt he will. This is a decision you don't get many times in life. And his dad is able to mold 2 of 3 sons in the NFL(let alone 1) then he did a PHENOMENAL job! Not to mention having 3 possible college graduates with 0 debt. I know it's fun for fans to talk about rings and trophies, but every kid doesn't care about that.I don't fault a kid for wanting to play for his Dad and with his brother. The bravado and false enthusiasm of Indiana's coach were clearly failing as the season ended. One good recruit will not be enough to paper over the obvious implications for the future. This kid will look back on this decision very differently than he thinks now and so will a parent that took a job on the back of his child.
Hate losing him but kind of get it with the family connection. I don't see this one ever swinging back our way, hope we can land Murphy. Hicks and Powers is a pretty dang good LB class, just need one more now.
https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio...p-breakdown-of-top-qb-and-rb-targets-more-keyand, of course, it hurts because of how impactful of a peer recruiter McCullough was for this Buckeyes class. C.J. Hicks is "Captain Buckeye" and the No. 1 recruiter in this class. He'll continue going to work. But what made Hicks even more efficient on the recruiting trail is that he had his running mate, McCullough, around to help. McCullough had built up good relationships with key targets across the country in the 2022 class for nearly a full year. Hicks and McCullough were a great team in peer recruiting, and now there's a void.
It was his decision and we gotta respect it, but if he looks back in 4 years and doesn’t feel a twinge of regret if/when OSU wins the next four big ten titles and competes for/wins natties while IU continues to be, well, IU- he’s built waaaay different. Nothing wrong with it. Everybody is motivated by different things.
If he’s a 1st round pick I’m sure he would care less about a title. Micah Parsons hasn’t sniffed a title and I’m sure he won’t regret a thing come Thursday.
We’re looking at this solely as OSU fans and it shows. I’m sure a number of kids would love to play with their brothers and for their father. And it helps knowing that he can still get drafted as high at IU as he can at OSU. Best of luck Dasan. OSU will be fine, we’ll still win B1G titles and NCs with or without him
Minnesota and Purdue don't really put many guys in the NFL, yet they both could have 1st round draft picks this week. When was the last 1st rd WR?Yeah, I was gonna include that, but I’m hardly convinced going to IU isn’t a really poor decision from the point of view as preparing for the NFL. If he overcomes that and becomes a high pick anyways then yeah, I’m sure he will be perfectly happy with his decision, for sure.
