No reason to ever worry about Purdue playing us tough again.
Good resume. Will be interesting to play them. I don't know much about Florida State's defense.Forget, for a second, the offense in Purdue's football plans. New coach Darrell Hazell made a big statement by hiring Greg Hudson as his new defensive coordinator.
Hudson was the assistant head coach and linebacker coach at Florida State, which wound up as the nation's No. 2 defense behind Alabama this past season. Three years ago the Seminoles' defense ranked No. 108.

In 2011, BC was ranked 82nd in rushing, at 131 ypg and 3.59 ypc.
In 2012, BC was ranked 115th in rushing, at 91 ypg and 3.16 ypc.
In 2011, BC was ranked 65th in sacks allowed, at 2 spg.
In 2012, BC was ranked 106th in sacks allowed, at 3 spg.

The Exponent talked to former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel, who won six Big Ten titles in Columbus, about his time serving on the Ohio State coaching staff with Purdue head coach Darrell Hazell from 2004-2010.
Exponent: How do you remember Darrell Hazell in his time at Ohio State?
Tressel: Darrell was very businesslike. He was focused. He cared about the kids first.
Exponent: What about Hazell made him unique from other Ohio State coaches? Were there any special qualities he had?
Tressel: Like all of our coaches, he had the care and concern of the kids first. Darrell had a wonderful ability to connect with them.
Exponent: What are some things Hazell does that are similar to the way you coached?
Tressel: We have the same core values as it relates to the player first. However, I have not been on the inside observing Darrell as a head coach. I am sure he is a combination of the coaches he has worked for and worked with along with his own natural creativity.
Exponent: Do you have any favorite memories of Hazell from his time on your coaching staff you could share?
Tressel: I really enjoyed the times he was addressing the entire team. At that time, I knew he would be an effective head coach.
