Danny Clark (QB Kentucky Wildcats, transfer to Vanderbilt)

If I were Clark, I'd go the MAC route. If you're a quarterback who has his sights set on something bigger than college, you need playing time. Early playing time. And the MAC has no shortage of playing time for Big10-calibar QBs. The MAC has never held a pro prospect back; in fact, it seems to enhance those skills because of the amount of game action.

I hear ya on that but why not a school like Indiana....runs a QB friendly offense, B1G, Wilson is a great offensive mind, they always seem to have playmakers (Hardy, Coleman, Howard, etc.), coach just got a nice extension, gets to play the schools he always grew up watching. Their starter will be a senior next year so he can get worked in and be ready to start as a true soph if all goes well. I think IU would be a really great fit for Danny.

I still say Rutgers... it's a QB oriented offense... and I think Clark fits there...
I know Rutgers OC (Mehringer) is a disciple of the spread but I'm not sure they have the horses to pull that cart.. but they do come up with some decent WRs
plus they really need a QB that can pass and run when absolutely necessary.. if only for a few yards... like around the goal line

Everyone is throwing their 2 cents in on where he should go, but what offers does he actually currently hold?

this genie just came out of the bottle
when you're the first commit of the OSU class... PLUS you have a huge OSU tat put on your shoulder
might have had a tendency to keep others at bay

you know Ash knows about him
you know Herman knows about him

How about Purdue, then he can end up in the SEC.

Birm did a good write up on this yesterday. Came out and said Clark doesn't fit the offense, i.e. isn't a dual threat QB so i don't see him going somewhere that runs the same offense (or IU or any of those kind of schools).

He doesn't have to go to the MAC to find pro style offenses or early PT.

Best of luck to him wherever it is though. Love this kid.

Rutgers does sound like a good fit. I was just curious because he obviously committed so early and it was so firm that I doubt he ever accumulated many offers. Hope he starts picking them up and finds a good school. It'd be cool if he went to Pitt w/Sibley
