Dallas Cowboys (Official Thread)

Key picks: CB Morris Claiborne, DE Tyrone Crawford, OLB Kyle Wilber, S Matt Johnson.
What a coup: a shutdown corner, an ideal 3-4 end, an intriguing edge pass rusher and a potential starting safety. Rob Ryan can now get aggressive without getting burned.

Never know if all these guys will pan out but I'm glad to see the focus on defense, particularly pass defense, this offseason. It was a big reason they lost 5 fourth quarter leads last season and missed the playoffs.

A lot better than how last season ended.

The game was supposed to be a coronation. Defending champions had been 8-0 in these special weeknight season openers, and the Giants had won seven of the last nine games between the teams. A stadium-record crowd of 82,287 showed up to celebrate former champions like Ottis Anderson, Phil Simms and Michael Strahan ? all of whom appeared, albeit briefly, during the pregame pomp ? but also to rejoice in the start of the chase for a repeat.

Instead, the fans left frustrated.

Cowboys 24, Giants 17

Just watched one of the ugliest football games I've ever seen but the Cowboys did manage to get a win out of it. If you add up the penalties and turnovers they equal the points scored: 26.

Cowboys 16
Buccaneers 10

$55 million guaranteed too. No clue what they see in a guy, who continually plays at his worst when his team needs him most. At least they seem determined to not give up on him. They're all in on the Romo or bust train. That's got to count for something, right ?

It's no wonder Romo is so horrible....if you put people behind him that he knows are worse than him, what pressure will he feel?

Money Badger! Money Badger! Money Badger! Money Badger!

Unless the Giants have figured out their pass pro and defensive issues, the Cowboys are the best team in the division at least on paper....unless you trust Nick Foles in Philly that is...
