Don't fall in love with the CFBdatawarehouse stuff. It all comes down to how much weight you give the pre-WWII data.

Since 1950, which is considerd modern era, you most definitly could not make that case. ND is 11th in win% and 10th in total wins for the past 56 years. Hardly the stuff #1 is made of.

As far as facts about ND history ...

You could make a very good case for ND being the the top program of all time.

OK, then make it. Stop talking in vague generalities and "Rudy moments". Stop flinging innuendos.

Using objective material, make that argument.

He's just going to regurgitate the data you can find here.

Personally I acknowledge what OSU did back in the day and it should have some merit but to say your team is the best all time based on pre WWII stuff is just being disengenious at best.

Basically to me ND is like an ugly chick. Far away she may look pretty good(55 years or more ago), she starts to get closer and you see some problems(overall past 50 years not great but 60's and 70's were pretty good) then she gets close(past 15-16 years) and you're reminded of the fact beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes down to the bone.

No team can lay claim to all time #1 status when they have been as irrelevant as ND has for 15 years and counting. I'm not talking a long NC drought, I'm talking no Bowl wins and lots of no Bowl appearances mixed in kind of bad.

I thought someone asked you to come up with facts to back your earlier statement?

Instead you go for yet another lame attempt to drive the debate in another direction. Favorite tactic of those who know their fundamental argument is logically flawed.

how many games has NA played? I'm asking because it seems to me that you're basing your ridiculous argument on the fact that apparently they've scored more points than any other team. That's a solid argument :roll2:

So in 20 years when Hawaii has scored more points than everyone else, does that mean Hawaii is the best team ever?

This is illogical.

Using Chimp's thought process, Princeton and Yale are better because they have 24 and 19 national titles compared to ND's 12...
