I agree. For something so foul and gangrenous, that thread is rather entertaining. :)

I thought that was the point. I need to do something while I'm at work, and being the "co-worker that drives you nuts" has gotten me in trouble.

We have one dumbass who has no idea what is socially acceptable to say. On time he told a pregnant chick to move because he couldn't see out the (20 foot long) front window of the office. I thought every woman in the office was going to kill him. There also is another woman who is loud, annoying, and overuses the word "seen". Everything about her is twice as loud as it should be.

I'd rather not go into too much detail (in the open) on my particular situation, but let's just say I'm at school right now, I've been here for 12.5 hours today, and tomorrow I'll probably get bitched at for being lazy/incompetent/nonchalant/did I mention stupid/breathing.


Anyone else care to chime in?

Not too psycho, but my boss at OSU would always turn off his monitor when someone entered his office.

My boss now is pretty cool (OSU grad, too!).

At my first job, I had a "cool" psycho boss. She was a "biker chick" (her words) and used to leave the movie theater to myself and another employee. We both were maybe 16 years old. She would leave for like two shows, about 5 1/2 hrs. She would always tell us she was going to her Grandson's "game". She would come back drunk....She was pretty cool.

They're out there.

My turn came with this little wench that hires me, then a week or so later informs me she's a feminist and she hates men. She hated children so much that if anyone brought their newborn to the office, she'd retreat into her office and slam the door. Uh huh...real peachy.

Tragically, she was from Ohio like me, and we had a number of things in common...Catholic upbringing, etc. She made the entire department's life a living hell, always playing people against each other for sport and malice. And what made it worse, she was smart as a whip and never forgot the slightest detail. It was impossible to upset her apple cart, but damn easy to earn her wrath. Which she displayed prodigiously.

Years later when I meet my former co-workers, we still talk about how we survived this witch.

Lesson I learned: never tolerate that xit again. Don't just interview and wait for something to open up. Leap now, swim later.

Were you around when I used to work at Cleveland State two years ago? The guy I worked for wasn't so much a prick, but an arrogant moron that was the living definition of the Peter Principle. He was kind of like a grumpy version of Michael on The Office.

Some around here might remember him, as I complained on these boards about how he created an award in order to give it to himself--and then had the audacity to hang a plaque on the wall, not in his office, but in the front lobby!
