Covering The Spread - Streak

The robo td drive started inside the twenty. Two rushes, 1 5 yd penalty, and OSU had a 3rd and 9. It was a passing down. I think JT is conservative when he is not as confident in his offensive personnel (02, 03, early 04, early 05). When his offense is clicking (late 04, late 05, 06), he doesn't mind attacking.

Bingo...

It had nothing to do with getting a TD for Robiskie, it had nothing to do with getting stats for Troy's Heisman race. It had everything to do with the fact that, even with a sack, it was an easy field goal at that point. A sack is the same as a short run at that point, so why not take a shot if you have a quarterback that you TRUST COMPLETELY to not turn the ball over.

Tresselball is still Tresselball. But what it translates to on the field depends on how much you can trust your quaterback. Troy can put immense pressure on a defense while maintaining Tresselian ball-security. Saturday night's door-slammer was Tresselball at its finest.

The worst was the UC game. Just imagine if you had $ on UC in that game. OSU going in for the score, or maybe just running out the clock with one more first down. Yet Rob S. fumbles and loses lots of yards to make it 4th down. Big sigh of relief...yet OSU sends in the FG unit and some 28 year old South African kicker most people never heard. He promptly nails a meaningless 53 yarder to put OSU up 30 and covers the 29.5 point spread.

to me it seems like you must have bet the game, i did notice also(as i play occassionally)

one other time they covered was on pittman's ultratd last year at michigan. a field goal and michigan covers.
