This song has always had meaning for me, it reminds me of when I was a kid and our father took us out of a comfortable existence to go chase his delusional fantasies. I can look back and say it wasn't all negative. I experienced things that I never would have known otherwise and that feeling of struggle, cold, hunger, not having adequate anything still haunts me in my dreams to this day. The difference though is in this song he's at least looking for a better situation, my father was living his preferred lifestyle and there never was any hope of things improving as long as he was the one looking out for us. If it wasn't for his parents we'd surely have perished.
