no offense, buh nim, but i do find it interesting that you're questioning the design of the test when you haven't supplied the answers to questions (ii) and (iii) of the first set. as you stated, this is beyond your scope of experience and ability. between you and the royal society of chemistry, i think i'll go with the royal society of chemistry. again, no offense. :p

You are correct, to answer the question on perpendicularity of BD _|_ A1C one must extrapolate the specified lines. That much is plane (sic) - what the answer might be is another matter entirely.

Of course, there is the position some take that there is no such thing as a straight line - merely curves, relative to one another either or both of which can appear linear.
