Could somebody please explain...

From the Cleveland PD:

"Prosecutors said they wouldn't press crimal charges against Roberson because he could not have known that
the 22 yr. old woman who accused him did not consent.
County attorney spokesman Bill FitzGerald declined to
elaborate."

Now, before my very active imagination has a field day,
can someone help me understand this one? :(

His scholie for spring was pulled by Coach Snyder... if he didn't do anything, why is his scholie being pulled? If it is for being out too late, that is a preaty rough penalty, and if that is the reason, why did he start Roberson in the game?

IMO Coach Snyder has no class, and his word is as good as dirt... the guy wants to win at any cost, and then screw his own players afterward (is this is penalty for losing the game :tongue2: )... again no class...

Well put.

I used to have respect for Snyder until the way he handled this. Maybe I just didn't know much about him until we played them but I always heard he ran a good, clean program. I'm not saying that he runs a dirty program but it appears that he had no control over his players that night. You can't let the inmates run the asylum.

I also read that along with his scholarship being pulled that he will not receive a Fiesta bowl ring that the other team members will receive. Pulling the scholarship for breaking curfew is harsh, besides he was in his room and probably had the lights off. If Snyder wasn't going to let him have the ring for participating in the game, then why did he let him play. I think we al know the answer to that.

Well, if we dominated them as bad as we did with them having Roberson playthe whole game, just think how bad we would've pounded them had them not played Roberson. Snyder was trying to avoid getting blown out.

You know how, after you make a wrong decision, like a little voice inside tells you that the decision was wrong? Snyder knew when he played Roberson that it was the wrong decision. Yet he did it anyway. :(

As for me, I'm always listening to all the little voices in my head. That is why I am never wrong.

cincybuckeyenut,

Don't ever sell yourself short again. Your "just a joke" was pretty goddamn funny from where I'm sitting  Maybe he can "Plea Bargain" any charges down to "Assault With A Friendly Weapon"

I hear that Tibor once pulled something like this. He met a woman at the Homeless shelter he was in and promised her that he could "Give Her Nine-Inches And Make It Hurt." So what did ol'Tibes do? He punched the bitch in the mouth and then f..ked her "3" times!!!!! :tongue2:

My guess is that the Tempe authorities did not want to give a black eye to the "Fiesta Bowl Experience" and thereby affect future such games, which a high profile trial would almost certainly do. Particularly since it apparently was a typical "she said, he said" situation which, lacking supporting evidence, is particularly hard to prove.
I think it is a fair question why his schollie was pulled. That would be pretty severe for simply breaking curfew. I imagine there is a great deal more to the story, and most of it would not make either Coach Snyder or the KSU program look very good. Don't forget the overwhelming motivation here....$$$$$$$
