There’s something going on here, by the way. Friend who is COO for an urgent care network attempted to acquire hydroxychloroquine yesterday after the study started to make the rounds. None available. It’s being stockpiled.

Yup, mentioned this yesterday...

Not to quote my own post... but for ease:

Sounds like there’s some promising things coming out of France regarding a malaria drug that has been around for a long time being a potential cure or at least highly effective in eliminating the virus in a large percentage of those treated. Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine apparently have been tested by some docs in France as well as China but the results from China are being held by their government.

Crossing fingers this gets it done.

Have seen a couple of references to this and even one article suggesting that a large pharma (I believe it may be Bayer) may be ramping up production and donating because the costs for chloroquine are very lowl.

Love all my friends falling for every story that starts with "My friend's brother works in the National Guard" or of course "My sister's friend is a Dr..."

And now old videos of humvees being transported by rail (crazy, I know, trains transporting things?!). People are losing their minds and it's only like Day 4 since a lot of cities went to closing a few non-essential things down. Misinformation and havoc everywhere.

This will be fun.

If the deep state is relying on hummers, we're very very safe.

Major misunderstanding out there about chloroquine... the malaria drug

a Dr can script it for ANY use they deem. Does not have to be for indication FDA approved it under. This drug was presented to FDA for malaria some 40 yrs ago. It is heavily scripted for a whole host of other indications within rheumatology realm. Lupus And arthritis especially. in fact they don’t know WHY it works there but it does and that is why it is prescribed so often for non-malaria indications

I had to take one of these for awhile in Africa... think i still have a bottle of it.
Side effects are enough to put you in the loony bin.
But its worth it to live i guess.
Off to find my bottle...

How 'bout Tussin?

Motrin?
Naproxen?

Edit - shit, i have atovaquone... wrong malaria drugs.... damn it all

“Italians are incredibly communal, social people who live in multigenerational family clusters and multifamily housing units. Social distancing is the opposite of Italian culture,” noted Dr. Summer McGee, dean of the School of Health Sciences at the University of New Haven. “The wonderful family and community-centric nature of Italians has become their greatest vulnerability in the time of a global pandemic.”
It appears Japanese survive it better than Southern Europeans. I think it needs study if there is some genetic differences.

Oh man, you're bringing back memories (also africa). Used to try and mask it with Ketchup (I was 10 & under), that flavor would not be withheld.
