I might well continue using my mask collection because they're also incredibly effective for my allergies. While everything is covered in yellow tree pollen and I would normally be a disgusting, uncomfortable mess (despite doubling up on Zyrtec and Flonase) in previous years, I just had some mildly itchy eyes and one sneeze instead while out and about. Plus, all our Asian tourists were wearing masks anyway if they were even a little under the weather before all this, and I might well join them because at least I don't have to feel as self-conscious about my ugly mug when I'm sick and need to go out to get something, or can't get out of work.

Close to 600 New Mexico residents have endured the bad luck of getting fully vaccinated and later testing positive for the coronavirus.

The state Department of Health reported Friday that 597 of those “breakthrough cases” had been recorded as of Wednesday. If that sounds like a lot, it’s about 0.07 percent of the 897,510 in New Mexico who have been fully vaccinated.

That tiny portion, doctors say, provides powerful testimony to the effectiveness of the vaccines. They also say those who get the two-shot Moderna or Pfizer and the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccines tend not to become terribly ill even if they do acquire the disease.

Just popped in to say I nailed Jessica Alba last night.

She's really been enjoying this safari.

Oh, sorry. Apparently, that was our secret.
