I shouldn't have brought up the constitution....but I would like to reiterate my intent when I said that was to show that one was so important that it was even granted as a right. I wasn't looking at a Trump rally (or a Biden rally) in the same context as a protest. Obviously I've never been to a Trump rally, so I'm just guessing at what goes on there. But my guess is it's just a performance. It's as much of a peaceful assemblage of people as going to a NASCAR race. I get it....but, cmon.

It's not "granted as a right." Take a remedial civics class ffs. The First Amendment grants nothing. It forbids the government from taking away a right that is innate in all of us.

Rioting is NOT peaceful assembly, btw. That's why it's called a riot.

Only you are talking about riots, chief.

It's a sad statement that 100,000 deaths can be "normalized". Even made fun of by some here.
200,000? What would 4 more years of this shit show bring? More chaos? More suffering?

It will Definitely bring more whining

BTW, if you are need of something to be triggered about while waiting to start screeching “second wave”, I saw an article the other day from 11W, that claimed ~1.1 million people are killed globally every year by mosquitoes and snakes.

That’s a big number. Surely you can whip up some indignant outrage over that.

For real. According to the CDC one of the leading causes of death is accidental injury with roughly 169K deaths in the US per year. Roughly equal to the bemoaning one’s example. If Covid19 is worth locking everyone up to prevent 170K deaths, surely an argument should be made for locking everyone up under the heading of preventing accidental deaths.

Stay inside if you’re afraid. Not of Covid19, but afraid of random ass accidental death — it’s about the same odds.

I'm still waiting for the first human on Earth to be definitively killed by an meteorite. Then everyone will have to go around wearing NASA-approved safety helmets and have the roofs of their homes meteorite-proofed.

The loss of American lives that were preventable from any cause is sad.
This is the loss of more American lives than the Korean War and Vietnam combined! And we mourn and honor those lives lost don't we! And this has only been 5 months of the pandemic! We are now looking at 200,000 Americans going to die. That is a fact not some conspiracy theory. I honor those who have died and those we will lose in the pandemic by acknowledging them here.

Dr Fauci Latest Remarks.

"Now we have something that turned out to be my worst nightmare," Fauci said. "In the period of four months, it has devastated the world."
The pandemic has killed more than 111,700 people in the United States, and nearly 409,000 worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. Around the globe there have been more than 7 million people infected.
