Are you two gentlemen referring to the stimulus package of $1,200 for single and $2,400 for married...or something else?
No, the small and large business stimuli at the federal level, and at least in IL, at the state level as well. I’m probably going to get around $2 million and most of it will be forgiven. Another $500k or so from the state. I’ll use it as it was intended, but others will just line their own pockets.

please link the "consensus" agreements within the scientific community for these three:
Ok so we can ignore the CFC's and the Ozone hysteria that was 100% incorrect?
And we can dismiss the "Acid Rain" scare?

But we can cherry pick Miami and New York being under water? I am not sure how old you are, but they have been saying Miami and New York were going to be underwater for YEARS! Now the new date is anywhere from 2025 to 2100. I am not going to google for you. Already did, too many freaking hits to even start. Pre-internet, back in the late 80's, "scientists" absolutely were warning of the oncoming rise in sea levels by 2000.

The Ice Age was already mentioned and if you do not understand that you must be under 30. Because that was absolutely discussed in the 70's.
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2018/11/19/the-1970s-global-cooling-consensus-was-not-a-myth/

The point is, there have been many many examples where "Scientists" have been incorrect and it was not just the scientific method vetting it out. I have been a part of three published research papers. Anyone that understands grants and funding in the scientific community also understands how it doesn't mix well, especially the politically hot topics.

I believe that was what was being pointed out earlier, that you need to view some of this with a different lens. Myself, as soon as the predictions came out about the looming 2.2 million deaths and at least 500K in the US I called BS. The "model" made zero sense to me and still doesn't. Maybe I will be wrong.

I am willing to bet quite a bit of money that in 2025 and 2034 Miami and New York will not be under water too.

Corporate welfare has been going for years ..Dems and Rep both have their favorites and throw in trial lawyers, unions, environmental groups, foreign countries, too. Why do you think some billionaires puff out their chest and say they will pay more income tax? They make more in the shadows. This time A tragedy makes it easier for people to swallow right in plain sight.

Not my conversation, so apologies, but have you ever seen the postcard the Canadian government sent to its citizens in or around 2001? 20 years later, the exact opposite of their predictions have come true. Government and science are a bad mix.

don't assume that the following is referring to any particular person. it's definitely not. no way. not at all.

anyway, i'm picturing a man sitting before a wood board. a hole in the shape of a square is cut out of the board. next to the board is a box full of shapes: circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, pentagons, hexagons, ovals, crescents, and so on and so on. the man is asked to find the piece that best fits the hole in the wood board.

now i'm picturing that man solving the puzzle by sheer brute force.
Sounds about right, but you forgot to add, solved it faster than the guy who overthought it and did it “right.” Hahaha!!

Am I supposed to feel sorry for Americans stuck in foreign countries or celebrities who had harrowing returns.....asking for a friend.....
I was quite moved by the story about Aaron Rodgers only making it out of Peru about 15 minutes before they closed the airport.

Good thing he had that private plane.

Gov. DeWine: FDA’s ‘reckless’ decision limits Battelle’s PPE mask sterilizing technology to only 10k a day

In a statement released Sunday morning, DeWine and Husted announced the FDA has authorized Columbus-based Battelle to sterilize only 10,000 surgical masks in Ohio each day, despite their ability to sterilize up to 160,000 masks per day in Ohio alone.
...
“The FDA’s decision to severely limit the use of this life-saving technology is nothing short of reckless,” said DeWine in the statement. “Battelle’s innovative technology has the capability to protect healthcare professionals and first responders in Ohio and across the country, but in this time of crisis, the FDA has decided not to support those who are risking their lives to save others. This is a matter of life and death. I am not only disappointed by this development, but I’m also stunned that the FDA would decline to do all it can to protect this country’s frontline workers in this serious time of need.”
...
“In addition to offering this technology in Ohio, Battelle had intended to send one machine to New York City and one to Stony Brook, New York, which would have allowed for the sterilization of up to 160,000 surgical masks for New York’s healthcare workers each day. Machines would have also been dispatched to the state of Washington and the Washington D.C. metro area,” the statement also adds

Not sure why folks are talking about the science on CFC’s and the ozone hole being incorrect. It wasn’t, and the hole is closing because appropriate steps were taken.
https://www.sciencehistory.org/distillations/podcast/whatever-happened-to-the-ozone-hole

As for some of the other claims, the media runs with the most headline grabbing scenarios, and some not great scientists are attention whores, so apocalyptic scenarios that are in no way, shape or form scientific consensus get reported and people think that’s “what the scientists say.”

Remember when this started the Israeli government said they'd use cell phone data to track citizens movements? Ours said they were considering it.

Well, it appears they decided it was a good idea and started doing it. Odd how quick and quiet that was, no?

It's ok though, government is our friend. They are just here to help us.

Why worry about science or the virus or anything for that matter except:
staying well.
If you stay well there's nothing to worry about.
If you get sick there's only 1 thing to worry about: whether you get well or die.
If you get well there's nothing to worry about.
If you die there's only one thing to worry about.
Whether you go to Heaven or hell.
If you go to Heaven there's nothing to worry about.
If you go to hell you'll be so damn busy shaking hands with friends, you won't have time to worry.
