My wife bought me an Ohio State set for Christmas. It has the Ohio State logo on the boards with Scarlet and Gray bags. It is definitely kick ass.

I have also heard people call it "slopes". I think I would rather play with cornhole than with slopes....but that is just my opinion.

"SLOPES?" That sucks! If you're going to make "cornhole" less porn-sounding, at least call it "Cornbag." But that's boring, too.

I have some funny "Cornhole" stories. My brother and I built a cornhole set last year. We bought the wood and stuff AND a jigsaw for cheaper than the cornhole set would have cost. I painted one side red (close to scarlet) and one side gray. (I'll paint logos on them when I quit being lazy.) I got red and black corn bags (they didn't sell any gray corn bags). Anyway, my brother also built half-size cornhole set and bought cheap bean bags for his kids, so they could play with their cornhole set and not bother us when we're playing. But he didn't paint his until this summer. I guess for a week at the begining of the summer, his oldest constantly nagged him: "Daddy, will you paint my cornhole?" He asked what she wanted on her cornhole. She said she wanted a star on her cornhole. That next weekend, he was having people over, so I brought over our cornhole set (it lives at my house usually, since I have more space), and the first thing his middle-kid said was "Wow! You have a big cornhole!"

Priceless.

My brother works for a community down in Cincy in the park and recreation division. Beginning of the spring he was doing some work in the park and found a ohio state cornhole set that someone left behind. He took it back to the office to put in lost and found, after two weeks no body claimed it, so it is now his.

Yeah, what a game. If the name wasn't bad enough, the bag material is called Duck Canvas. If I was a porn star, I'd probably have to be called Duck Canvas. Then I could be a true corn hole legend.

millennium park had a 'frozen fun fest' for the kids this past wkd, nice weather in the 50s, but all the ice was melting... here is a shot of the ice block cornhole boards.

Ah cornhole... a great game whether you're drunk off your ass, about to be drunk off your ass or thinking about getting drunk off your ass, it never fails to entertain.

Yeah, but bean bag tossing can be fun, too. :wink2:

I'm finally getting around to making a cornhole set. Anyone have any advice for construction (thinking of using 2x3s for the frame and 1/2" ply for the deck, with a support strut to stiffen the deck.

Also, and more specifically, how about a good source for cornhole bags? Experience on corn filled vs. 'all weather'?

Thanks in advance.
